England star player and one of the most dominating batters in cricket history. Phil Salt, is known for his aggressive batting and match-winning performance, drops a surprising statement about his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
However, the England star also shared his feelings and opinion about Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). He said that after Bengaluru bought him in the IPL 2025 mega auction. He immediately felt like he was a natural fit for the team.
Speaking on the RCB podcast, Phil Salt also explained that the franchise’s playing style and clear communication made him transition smooth, comfortable and also helped to improve his batting style as well.
“My first thought was that this is a team I would really suit playing for. The way RCB have always carried themselves, the brand of cricket they play, it all appealed to me. From my very first conversation with Mo (Bobat) after the auction, I could clearly see why they wanted me and what role they had in mind for me. Everything felt very aligned with my game,” Salt said.
Phil Salt helped the franchise with his great knocks and some innings to be remembered. Salt played a major role for the RCB as the team won their maiden IPL title after an 18-years-long wait.
The franchise won their IPL title last year. However, Royal Challengers Bengaluru are set to play a big move in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) auction. They also released some great players to save money for the event.
