Ian Bell fell to the ground after he was hit by a beamer by Jason Behrendorff on his way to a brilliant 187 of 145 deliveries in the warm-up match against Prime Minister’s XI at Canberra. Bell immediately responded by hitting a huge six of the very next ball. Bell opened the innings and was dismissed by Behrendorff of the final ball of the innings. His innings and half-centuries by Moeen Ali and James Taylor ensured that England finished with 391 for six in their 50 Overs.

England will be a part of the tri-series against India and Australia scheduled to begin from January 16. England start their campaign on the same day against Australia. England lost the previous in Sri Lanka after which their skipper Alastair Cook was sacked. England will be lead by their new captain Eoin Morgan in the upcoming tri-series and also at the ICC World Cup 2015.

Bell is one of the key players in the England squad and will try to take this momentum into the tri-series and then to the ICC World Cup 2015. Bell has scored close to 5,000 runs in 150 One-Day Internationals (ODI) for England.
