ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 final: Record crowd in attendance for Australia-New Zealand clash

Melbourne: A record crowd has attended the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 final between Australia and New Zealand at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). So far, the count says that 91,112 people are in attendance for the final between the two rivals. Earlier in the tournament, around 87 thousand people had attended the India-South Africa game. However, that has been broken by the attendance in this game.

The figure of 91,112 is a rough one so far, but it is already past the record crowd in Australian history for cricket. The official figures will only be available once we move into the second half of the match. Nevertheless, there has been considerable fanfare for this game in the city and many New Zealanders have flown in for it. Also, the Indian fans have taken to support New Zealand at the MCG.
