ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: Saeed Ajmal will not be picked even if ICC gives clearance
Ajmal to not be picked even if ICC gives clearance

Karachi: Pakistan team management has reportedly declined the proposal of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to include suspended ace off-spinner Saeed Ajmal in the ICC World Cup 2015 squad even if he gets green-signal by the ICC. A PCB official said that the team management told them that they didn’t need Ajmal even if he gets cleared by the ICC for his bowling action, the Dawn reported.
The PCB expects the report of Ajmal at any time, but now it does not matter whether it is positive or negative as the team management had decided to play the World Cup without Ajmal, believing the team did not need him, he added.
Ajmal has been suspended from international cricket after tests found his bowling action was illegal, which subsequently led him to rule himself out of the upcoming World Cup.
Ajmal biomechanics test was held in Chennai, India on Jan 24. Pakistan will open their World Cup campaign against arch-rivals India on February 15 in Adelaide.
