In the second match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 between Australia and England at Melbourne, Steven Finn (England) and Mitchell Marsh (Australia) took five wicket hauls for their respective teams, making it the only fourth instance of two bowlers taking fifers in World Cup events. Marsh’s fifer was far more timely and had much more impact on the complexion of the match. He got important wickets of Ian Bell, Joe Root and Jos Buttler among others completely stifling England in their chase of 343.
England finally crumbled to 231 all-out despite a fine unbeaten 98 by James Taylor. Australia won the match by 111 runs.
