ICC need to maintain vigilance in anti-corruption

Sir Ronnie Flanagan, the chief of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) submitted his annual report to its Board and stressed on the need to maintain the strategies in countering possible corrupt activities in the game. The ICC Board meeting took place in Melbourne and was chaired by the new chairman N Srinivasan.

A press release from the ICC stated that Flanaghan pressed to “maintain its vigilance in the area of anti-corruption and also sustain the current high levels of education and strategy of prevention.” The Board has also approved some terms of reference which are to be used to review cricket’s over all anti-corruption measures.

These terms of reference will now be reviewed by a group that will be chaired by Dave Richardson, the ICC CEO, and will comprise David Collier, Sundar Raman and James Sutherland.
