Heavy rain at Hambantota delayed the start of the ICC T20 World Cup Group C clash between South Africa and Sri Lanka on Saturday.

 

A five-over game can start after 6:15 pm local time but there is no official word here.

 

Already assured of their places in the Super Eight stage of the tournament, both Sri Lanka and South Africa would be eyeing a win to finish on top in Group C.

 

Both the teams had an easy outings in their openers against Zimbabwe, who became the first team to crash out of the event with two consecutive losses.

 

While Sri Lanka mauled Zimbabwe by 82 runs, South Africa hammered Brendan Taylor‘s men by 10 wickets.
