The Indian Women’s team have won the match and beat their arch-rivals by 88 runs in Women’s World Cup 2025. However, the match turned into a big controversy after a strange incident involving Pakistan opener Muneeba Ali.

During the game, Muneeba stepped out of her crease and Deepti Sharma’s throw directly hit the stumps. The umpire ruled her out, which sparked heated discussions on the field. Pakistan captain Fatima Sana even approached the officials to question the decision, making it one of the most talked-about moments of the match.

The controversial incident happened on the last ball of the fourth over. However, Muneeba Ali survived an LBW appeal India didn’t take a review, though replays later showed she was out. But right after that, she stepped out of her crease, and Deepti Sharma’s throw hit the stumps, getting her run out.

However, Pakistan pacer Diana Baig who attended the post-match press conference was asked about the incident by a reporter. She decided to not make it as a big issue and stated everything is settled.
