London: England coach Peter Moores has warned opponents to be wary of England side in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2015, saying that his team’s silence should not be misjudged as being nice but as a sign of their steeliness. ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: POINTS TABLE
Remaining optimistic ahead of World Cup opener against Australia, Moores said that they were not soft at all, they were quiet and there was a big difference, adding that steely quiet was different to being soft, The Mirror reported. ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: SCHEDULE & MATCH DETAILS
Referring to James Anderson as a bowler who came of age, Moores said that those who hadn’t played too much international cricket have to find their way of being tough to play against – much like Anderson found his way through his career.
Moores further said that they were in much stronger position then than they came to Australia, adding that it had the right sort of aggression in it to attack at different teams, the report added.
England will open their World Cup campaign against Australia on February 14 in Melbourne.
