08.50 PM: The fans have started to pour in. Around 4000 fans are expected to witness the opening ceremony live from the venue.

The keenly awaited ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is just a day away from us. However, the International Cricket Council (ICC) is not leaving any stone unturned in its build up to the cricketing extravaganza as a glitzy ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 Opening Ceremony is on the cards at The Mall in Central London on Wednesday, a day before the Cricket World Cup 2019 opener between Eoin Morgan-led England and Faf du Plessis’ South Africa.  The Cricket World Cup 2019 opening ceremony will not see any of the players who will be involved in the World Cup 2019,

However, ICC had promised it to be the “most celebrated start to a Cricket World Cup ever”.

“The ‘not-to-be-missed’ live broadcast Opening Party will be a mix of music, dance and some of the biggest names in sport with a winner takes all sporting competition. The glittering event organised in partnership with The Royal Parks within the backdrop of Buckingham Palace, will be live broadcast around the world between 5-6pm British Summer Time with an audience of spectators at the ticket only event,” ICC had said in a media statement.

“It’s a surprise! All we can promise is a night to remember that cricket fans and non-cricket fans alike will enjoy. There will be entertainment for all ages and expect some famous faces to help get the party started,” ICC has said.
