Afghanistan were 69 for two in 10 overs in pursuit of 160 set by India in their first match of the ICC World T20 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Wednesday.

Afghanistan were 69 for two in 10 overs in pursuit of 160 set by India in their first match of the ICC World T20 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Wednesday.

Afghanistan need a further 91 runs to win with eight wickets in hand.

Mohammad Shahzad struck three boundaries to score 18 off 19 balls, before falling to L Balaji in the fourth over.

Shahzad added 26 runs for the first wicket with skipper Mangal.

The left-arm Indian spinner Yuvraj Singh jolted Afghanistan in the eighth over to get rid of Mangal, who was trapped in front of the wickets for 22.

Mangalâs 22 came from 18 balls, studded with a boundary and a six.
