For a moment, it again looked the game for Netherlands but Mudassar Bukhari goes for 14. Logan van Beek came to bat and was trying his best to go for boundary but failed to even get two runs and managed just with single runs. But it did not help to build the momentum for Netherlands. Netherlands began the innings carefully with just a boundary in the first over with Bangladesh fast bowler Taskin Ahmed bowling the perfect length and bounce. Stephan Myburgh and Wesley Barresi opened the innings for Netherlands and no wickets fell until the 4th over. Though Al-Amin Hossain bowled the perfect length which restricted Netherlands the runs in the initial overs.

The big Ben Cooper came in to crease to bat and started with the boundaries with at least three in every over. When Mahmudullah started bowling, Myburgh saw to it that the runs continued until Nasir Hossain got his first big wicket. Netherlands required 61 from 36 balls in the 14th over, by then another wicket was down of big Ben when he had to leave for 20 in mere 15 balls. To replace him came in Tom Cooper who played very well supporting the captain Peter Barren. Mashrafe Mortaza started his bowling attack and was going for bouncers which were going for boundary and adding to the mayhem was 13 extras. By the last 5 overs, they required 10 per over and only a miracle could save them from this innings. But the captain had to make way out of the field and was out once again by Shakib after his wicket of Ben Cooper. Netherlands won the toss and elected to field.
