West Indies captain Darren Sammy felt all is not lost for his side after their crushing defeat at the hands of Sri Lanka in their ICC T20 World Cup Super Eight match on Saturday.

Mahela Jayawardene struck a record-equalling sixth half century in ICC World Twenty20 as Sri Lanka brightened their semifinal prospects with a nine-wicket win over West Indies.

“New Zealand game is a must-win for us. We have have one more chance to win and qualify for semis,” he said.

He thought the Lankans used the conditions better at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.

“We are always a boundary hitting team. We bowled too short and wide. The SL bowlers bowled fuller and we didn’t do that enough,” Sammy said.(PTI)
