ICC World T20 trophies reach Sri Lanka

The ICC World T20 trophies were brought to Sri Lanka on Saturday. The fourth edition of the tournament will begin September 18, 2012.

Later in the day the trophies were paraded with elephants, dancers and drummers in ‘Perahera style through the streets of Colombo to Independence Square where they were formally received by Sri Lanka Minister Mahinanda and Sri Lanka Cricket President Upali Dharmadasa from ICC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dave Richardson.

England won the previous edition of the tournament held in West Indies in 2010. India were the winners of the inaugural edition held in South Africa in 2007.
