ICC World Test Championship Points Table: India maintain top spot after 2-0 series win over West Indies

Following their resounding 2-0 series win over the West Indies, India extended their lead the ICC World Test Championship point tally over second placed and third-placed – New Zealand and Sri Lanka – by 60 points. India are now at 120 points – the maximum any team can gain in a series, irrespective of the number of matches in the series.

India also are the unbeaten side so far among the team that have played Tests under the ICC World Test Championship. India had beaten West Indies in the first Test at Antigua by a hug margin of 318 runs, and followed it up with yet another big win in the 2nd Test in Jamaica by 257 runs.

Sri Lanka and New Zealand drew their two-match Test series, winning one each and that puts them behind India at No.2 and No.3 with 60 points each. England and Australia, who are in the middle of the Ashes series, are at the 4th and 5th slot respectively with 32 points each as both teams have also lost and drawn one game each. The fourth Test of the series starts September 4 at Old Trafford, Manchester .
