Brian Lara Offers Solution To Umran Malik

WEST INDIES legendary batter Brian Lara offered solution to India’s pace sensation Umran Malik ahead of fourth T20I. Lara reckoned that if Umran work with Dale Steyn then he could be the best for India.

Umran Malik is currently the part of Indian T20I squad against WI but the pacer was not in the playing XI for recently concluded three T20Is.

“If he (Umran Malik) works with Dale Steyn, he could definitely be one of the best India could produce,” said Lara.

Lara also suggested Umran to build a ability to do something with the ball.

“He will be a sensation, but very quickly he will have to learn that fast bowling really does not trouble the best players in the world,” said Lara on the YouTube channel ‘Wake Up With Sorabh.’

“You have to have the ability to do something with the ball, be sensible, and maybe understand times when you have to trickle back or understand the times when you have to up the tempo. He is very young and has got a lot of years ahead of him,” he added.

Citing the examples of former great pacers, Lara said the Indian pacer will have to add few variety to his bowling.

“We have had so many different examples. Wasim Akram was raw pace, Malcolm Marshall had destructive pace, and Michael Holding. But they all know that at some point in time, they had to come with a lot more tricks than just being able to bowl fast,” he said.

Team India is currently in Florida to play the remaning T20Is which will be played at Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium.

All remaning T20Is will be the must win game for India. After this team India will feature in upcoming Asia Cup and Asian Games which will be played in Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
