New Delhi: Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and fast bowler Navdeep Saini have been ruled out of the second test against Bangladesh. KL Rahul would continue to lead the Men in Blue side in the remaining test against Shakib al Hasan’s Bangladesh side.

With Rohit not traveling to Dhaka, vice-captain KL Rahul will continue to lead India in the second and final Test of the series which India is currently leading by 1-0, after winning the first Test at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram by 188 runs.

Rohit Sharma is under the care of the BCCI Medical team after suffering a thumb injury during the second ODI against Bangladesh. The recovery period for the Indian skipper is still unclear and we might get a clearer picture in the coming few days.

Navdeep Saini is another name that would miss out on the final test against Bangladesh. However, he was not part of the squad during the first test either. Saini has suffered an abdominal muscle strain and would report to NCA for further examination of his injury.

Team India is not expected to make any change in the playing 11 after a dominant outing in the first test. Mohammed Siraj and Umesh Yadav would most likely lead the fast-bowling attack with Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, and Axar Patel taking charge with spin.

India’s updated squad for the 2nd Test Vs Bangladesh: KL Rahul (C), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara (VC), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (WK), KS Bharat (WK), Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Shardul Thakur, Mohd.
