Shami finally makes comeback in international cricket
India will take England for the third T20I of the five-match series in Rajkot. The hosts are currently leading the series 2-0, and will be eyeing to series the series with tinning this third clash as well.
The pitch at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot is a pitch that is known for being a surface that favors batters. Hence the fans might expect some-good scored form both the sides as India will bowl first.
At the time of the toss, India had won for the third time in a row, as the hosts had won the toss at the last two matches as well. The captain Suryakumar Yadav had decided for the team to bowl first, and confirmed the return of speedster Mohammed Shami in the Indian jersey after 14 long months.
“We will bowl first, (pitch) looks nice and hard, don’t think it will change later as well. Rajkot has always been a good track, sure it will be a sporting one. We wanted to play a different brand of cricket but at the same time you need to understand the situation and he (Tilak) bailed the side out. We’ll look at it as a 3 game series from here, boys are charged up. Arshdeep is resting, Shami comes in,” Suryakumar said after winning the toss.
This match marks the official comeback of Mohammed Shami in international cricket, as he had been sidelined due to an ankle injury, and had only played domestic matches after recovering.
