India and Oman faced each other as the 12th match of the Asia Cu 2025, with the Men in Blue coming out to bat first. The batting lineup of the team witnessed a distinct change for this outing, as the usual batting order did not get followed, and the players who do not get much batting time were given chance to come out and play.

Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav did not come out to play, and some of the names who unexpectedly came out to to play were Hardik Pandya, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh and Kuldeep Yadav. Out of these unusual names, Hardik was a specific name who had an unfortunate incident happen to him.

What actually happened was, Hardik Pandya came out to bat at No. 4, which was already a shock to all the spectators. However, the thing which was more shocking was how he got dismissed. It seems like luck was not in favour of Pandya, as he got run-out at the non-striker’s end.

The incident happened during the third ball of the eighth over of India’s innings, where Sanju Samson was batting and Hardik Pandya was on the non-striker’s end. Sanju hit a straight drive against Jiten Ramanandi. Jiten reached out to catch the ball, which he dropped. However, the ball rolled on and hit the stumps.

At the moment, it seemed like it was Sanju Samson who got dismissed, but replays showed Hardik Pandya being out of the crease when the ball hit the stumps. This resulted in the hard-hitter getting dismissed. India eventually went on to play in an unusual lineup, and ended their innings with 188 runs on the board.
