Pitch Report!
Deep Dasgupta and Ian Bishop: This pitch has played a lot better than we expected. The footmarks are still there and I was looking for the little area on the pitch where a little bit of the leather came off the ball. You could see how abrasive it is. The way that Justin Greaves played at the back end of the WI innings, very orthodox, it says that the pitch is still very good in spite of all the cracks. The curator was saying that the difference between this black surface and the one in Kolkata is the clay content. Because the clay content is not as much, that’s the reason we see the slowness of the pitch or lack of bounce and that definitely helps the batters. You can’t afford to play across the line. Nothing much for the bowlers. One or two might turn, the odd ball might keep low.
The game will begin in 20 minutes!
The game will begin in 20 minutes. The star Indian batters KL Rahul and Sai Sudharsan will continue their respective innings as Team India need 58 runs to win the match. KL Rahul is just going with the flow and scored 25 runs in 54 balls. However, Sai Sudharsan geared up on Day 4 and smashed some great boundaries and scored 30 runs in 47 deliveries.
India vs West Indies Day 4 Highlights!
If we talk about the Indian team. Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah were the star players for Team India. Bumrah took three wickets of Warrican, Anderson Phillip and most important, the wicket of Jayden Seales. However, Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammed Siraj showcased their excellence. While chasing the target, the Indian team lost one important wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal. Now Team India need 58 runs to win the match. There are high chances of Team India win the match in the first session of Day 5.
India vs West Indies Day 4 Highlights!
The fourth day of the second test match was full of chaos and crazy moments from both teams. We’ve seen some great batting performances from star West Indies batters Shai Hope and John Campbell. Both the players also set a record for their team. After the 1974 Test in Bengaluru, this was the first time two West Indian batters had scored hundreds in their second innings of a Test in India. However, the tail-enders of the West Indies, Jayden Seales and Justin Greaves built a great partnership and added a big score on the board.
