India A captain Abhishek Nayar on Tuesday expressed confidence of his team putting its best foot forward when it takes on New Zealand ‘A’ in the first of the two unofficial Tests starting on Wednesday.

“We will play best cricket and try to win the match. We concentrated on the basic training sessions and every player is confident enough. As a team our eyes will be on victory,” said Nayar on the eve of their three-day match.

Team’s coach Sanjay Bangar said some of the players in this team were capable of making it to the national side.

“This team comprises players who can don national colours in future,” he said.

Meanwhile, New Zealand ‘A’ captain Tom Latham insisted that his team was well prepared for this series.

“We made our preparation for a couple of weeks at New Zealand before departure,” he said.

Responding to a query Latham said the Kiwis would take it one match at a time.

New Zealand’s manager Lance Hamilton said they would look to play good cricket in India.

“We are looking to play very good cricket in this country. This experience will be useful to our players,” said the manager.
