India A lost the toss against Australia A, who elected to bat first in the second four-day game between the two sides. India A, captained by Manoj Tiwary, went in with much the same team from their previous encounter, with Karun Nair, Pragyan Ojha and Dhawal Kulkarni missing out.

The Indian team comprised of Robin Uthappa, Lokesh Rahul, Jiwanjot Singh, Baba Aparajith, Ambati Rayudu, Naman Ojha, Tiwary Amit Mishra, Anureet Singh, Umesh Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rajat Paliwal ( as 12th man).

On the other hand, Australia A went with Phil Hughes, Alex Doolan, Peter Forrest, Chris Lynn, James Faulkner, Mitchell Marsh, Sam Whiteman, Ben Cutting, Cameron Boyce, Nathan Lyon, Chadd Sayers and 12th man Josh Hazlewood.
