India beat Australia by six wickets in the fifth and final One-Day International (ODI) and registered their first win in the series. Manish Pandey was the star of the match, finishing with an unbeaten 104. This was his first ton in ODIs in his fourth match for India. He built a 77-run stand with Rohit Sharma and then another crucial partnership with skipper MS Dhoni to get India off the mark on this tour. he was rightly adjudged the man of the series and Rohit Sharma was declared the man of the series for scoring two centuries in the series and also a crucial 99 today.
