The Delhi-based cricketer had moved to Sikkim seeking better opportunities last year after not able to find a place in the Delhi domestic team for nearly two years, and made the most of it hammering six centuries and four fifties in 14 innings in the Ranji Trophy last season, with a best of 261.
As per Sportstar, Sikkim wanted to retain Kumar, but the cricketer was not keen to continue and wished not to remain in the plate group. âI have decided to move on and hope to play good cricket for my new team,â he said as quoted by Sportstar.
Kumar, currently playing in the Duleep Trophy is looking forward for the challenge. âI am gearing up for a challenging season. Hopefully, I will be able to deliver the goods,â he added. Tripura will be playing in Group C.
âWe wanted to continue with Milind, but he chose to play for a different team. We canât force a player to stay back, so we issued him an NOC,â one of the officials at Sikkim Cricket Association said.
