Former India all-rounder Ravi Shastri has said that Team India have all it takes to win the World Cup. “They have a very good chance. They should enjoy the game and raise the bar with their performances. India can beat anybody,” he said.
Shastri, who played in the 1983, 1987 and 1992 World Cups, was pleased with India’s 87-run victory over Bangladesh in the opener at Mirpur. “The important thing is to carry on the momentum. They should focus on one game at a time,” he said.
The former India captain said that India’s next game against England would be crucial one. “A win against England will make it two-out-of-two and we would be almost certain to make it to the quarterfinal. So the next match is very important to get a win on the board,” he added.
