Veteran Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar said Virat Kohli‘s style of captaincy will be different from Mahendra Singh Dhoni‘s as the former leads India in the tri-series in West Indies.

“His [Virat Kohli] style will be different from Dhoni’s, and that will take some getting used to. Dhoni is more laidback and does not show his emotions easily. On the other hand, Kohli’s feelings can be heard even on the next Caribbean Island. It is this change in style that the team will have to get used to,” Gavaskar wrote in his column for a leading national Daily.

Kohli was handed the responsibility of leading the side after Dhoni was ruled out due to injury in India’s one-wicket defeat to the hosts. The Kohli-led India side suffered a massive 161-run loss to Sri Lanka and face a do-or-die situation in the match against West Indies on Friday.
