Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan got their team off to a wonderful start in the second T20 International (T20I) between India and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Friday. The openers got to 44 without losing a wicket by the fifth over. Both Dhawan and Kohli were timing the ball wonderfully right from the start, though Rohit took a while to get going initially. Shane Watson and John Hastings opened bowling for Australia, but both men were taken off after a single over each. Scott Boland and James Faulkner came in to bowl by the fifth over as well. Dhawan took on Hastings in the bowlers’ second over, hitting him for two fours and a six in the over, while Rohit hit Faulkner for three boundaries in his first over. India currently hold the lead in the series 1-0 after their 37-run win at Adelaide. A victory in the second T20I will give them the series as well, with the third T20I at SCG to spare. Earlier at the toss, Aaron Finch elected to field first, having made as many as six changes to the side that lost the first T20I at Adelaide.
