Hashim Amla has been dismissed for 17 runs with Akshar Patel giving India the much needed early breakthrough in their defence of 247 runs. Amla was trying to hit Patel off his line by attacking him and stepped out to slog him over the leg side. Amla was deceived by the mild turn and MS Dhoni did the rest behind the stumps. India will hope to capitalise on the early breakthrough but they can’t afford to rest given South Africa’s marvellous batting line up. India made another breakthrough shortly after with Harbhajan Singh getting rid of Quinton de Kock. Faf du Plessis is the new batsman accompanying JP Duminy at the crease. De Kock was looking quite well settled and scored 34 off 36 balls, but was done in by the clever variations employed by the veteran Harbhajan.
