Shikhar Dhawan, who scored a half-century in the previous match against Australia is out bowled off the bowling of Hamid Hassan. Dhawan tries to run the ball down to third man, but the ball takes an inside edge and crashes onto his stumps. This is a huge blow for India as they would have wanted to their opening batsman to spend some time out in the middle. Catch Live Blog of the warm-up match here
Dhawan opened the innings with Rohit Sharma and the duo would have wanted to get India off to a brisk start, but the Afghanistan bowlers have managed to keep it tight and have not given away anything so far. Virat Kohli will now hope to build a solid foundation along with Rohit, both of whom need to spend some ample time at the crease ahead of their opening match at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 against Pakistan on February 15.
