Aaron Finch cops blow to hand while facing Mitchell Starc at Adelaide nets

Aaron Finch, the Australia batsman, was struck on the hand by team-mate Mitchell Starc during nets at Adelaide Oval on Tuesday.

According to AAP, the Test opener was hit on the right hand by Starc and required immediate medical attention.

The Australian team doctor later cleared Finch to keep batting, indicating that he will be fine for the first Test against India on Thursday.

This is the second instance in recent times that Finch has been hit by Starc during practice. Last month, ahead of the ODI series with South Africa, Finch was hit on the right index finger  while batting against the left-arm quick during an open-wicket practice session in Perth.

Finch is expected to open the batting alongside the uncapped Victorian batsman Marcus Harris in Adelaide.
