The resumption of play on day three of the first Test between India and Australia at Adelaide Oval has officially been delayed owing to a bit of rain on Saturday morning.

The delay is not expected to be a long one, as the rain has lessened and the skies are showing an improvement.

Australia went into stumps on Friday at 191/7, trailing India by 59 runs. Travis Head, at his home ground, kept India hunting with a fine 61.

The tourists will hope to grab three wickets quickly on Saturday to claim a handy lead.
