Rain interrupted India’s charge in the fourth One-Day International at the Jharkhand Cricket Association Stadium (JSCA) in Ranchi on Wednesday. Australia were 28 for two after 7.2 overs.

India seamer Shami Ahmed bagged his second wicket in the game in form of Phil Hughes, to leave Australia struggling at 24 for two after 5.4 overs in their fourth One-Day International at Ranchi on Wednesday.

After cleaning up Finch early, Shami got Hughes caught by wicketkeeper MS Dhoni on the fourth ball of the sixth over in the match.

George Bailey, who walked out after Hughes’s dismissal, got a reprieve on the first ball as Virat Kohli spilled a catch at the second slip.

Finch did not get to the line of the ball and the gap between the bat and the pad was exploited well by the Indian seamer, who got the first wicket in the game, on the second last ball of the second over.

Earlier, India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to field against Australia in the fourth One-Day International (ODI) at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) Stadium.
