Ajinkya Rahane has scored his century in the third Test against Australia in Melbourne. Rahane has batted very well and has been attacking since he walked out in the morning session. He has been in control of the game and is doing very well. The great thing is that Rahane has now scored a ton in New Zealand, England and now in Australia.

Rahane has played well and he has essayed some good shots. Though he can be a bit jittery at times, there has been no sign of that vulnerability in that innings. He has moved from strength to strength and this century goes to show how well he has grown as a batsman. Rahane is one man who has grown leaps and bounds this year and he can walk ahead with his head held high.

Earlier, Australia had won the toss and had elected to bat first. Joe Burns is debuting for them. On the other hand, India brought in KL Rahul, who gets his Test cap. Mohammed Shami has replaced Varun Aaron. Australia are leading the series 2-0 after winning the first two Tests in Adelaide and Brisbane. Steven Smith’s 192 helped Australia score 530 in the first innings
