Shaun Marsh has been dismissed in the evening session on Day One of the third Test between India and Australia at Melbourne. Marsh was caught behind by MS Dhoni off the bowling of Mohammed Shami soon after tea. He got yet another start, having scored 32.

Marsh had got  30-odd in the previous Test as well and then has not gone on to convert those starts. Joe Burns has now come out to bat in what is his first Test.

Earlier, Australia had won the toss and had elected to bat first. Joe Burns is debuting for them. On the other hand, India brought in KL Rahul, who gets his Test cap. Mohammed Shami has replaced Varun Aaron. Australia are leading the series 2-0 after winning the first two Tests in Adelaide and Brisbane.
