Shaun Marsh was run out on 99 in the third Test played against India at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Tuesday. He played a full delivery from Umesh Yadav towards mid-off and immediately set off for a single but was run-out by Virat Kohli. Marsh looked really good from the start of his innings and took the Australian team to safety after middle-order batsmen were dismissed quickly.

In all likelihood, it looks as if it is going to be a draw.

Australia were expected to declare this morning and set India a challenge ahead. India will now have very few overs to chase down whatever score they are given. There won’t be enough time and this Test match is meandering towards a draw. That has been the way the Australians have played this morning.

Earlier, Australia had won the toss and had elected to bat first. Joe Burns is debuting for them. On the other hand, India brought in KL Rahul, who gets his Test cap. Mohammed Shami has replaced Varun Aaron. Australia are leading the series 2-0 after winning the first two Tests in Adelaide and Brisbane. Steven Smith’s 192 helped Australia score 530 in the first innings. India were bowled out for 465 following Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane’s spirited stand.
