Mitchell Johnson and Steven Smith have taken the attack to India since the dismissal of Brad Haddin on Day Two of the third Test. Both batsmen have been attacking and have extended Australia’s challenge. The duo has already added fifty runs. Smith is well past his ton and Johnson has sped away into the 20s.

Haddin had earlier attacked the Indians and then helped Australia take charge. They resumed the day on 259 for five and since then they have easily added over 100 runs to the score.

Earlier, Australia had won the toss and had elected to bat first. Joe Burns is debuting for them. On the other hand, India brought in KL Rahul, who gets his Test cap. Mohammed Shami has replaced Varun Aaron. Australia are leading the series 2-0 after winning the first two Tests in Adelaide and Brisbane.
