Virat Kohli is the latest Indian to make it to the SCG honours board after smacking a century at the venue during the fourth Test between India and Australia. Continuing in his solid form with the bat that he has displayed throughout the series he scored fluently finally getting out on 147 in India’s first Innings.

His score helped India to a score of 475 in response to Australia’s total of 572. In the same innings, youngster KL Rahul also ensured that his name was carved into the honours board, scoring a 110, his maiden Test hundred. The two batsmen together forged a 141-run partnership to take India from 97 for two to 238 for 3, when Rahul finally fell.

A picture of the board with Kohli’s name being inscribed was tweeted by Indian Cricket News.

The two batsmen join other Indian names such as Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman on the prestigious board.
