India and Australia face off in the first T20I of a two-match series in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. This is India’s final international assignment before the ICC World Cup 2019 to be played later this year in England. (ALSO READ: Can Australia surprise India?)

The series gives the hosts a chance to fine-tune their preparations and zero in on a squad that they will take to England for the World Cup. For Australia, the tour is a chance to asses themselves better to determine where they stand against a top-quality side.

The tourists will be eager to balance the ledger having drawn a T20 series at home against India which was followed by a defeat in ODI series.

India may have endured a small blip in the New Zealand T20s, but with Jasprit Bumrah and Virat Kohli back in the squad, the pendulum swings right back in the host’s favour.
