India have lost the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan early against Australia in the second One-Day International (ODI) of the tri-series at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Dhawan was dismissed by Mitchell Starc as he edged one outside the off-stump and has been taken at second slip by Aaron Finch. Rohit Sharma has walked out to bat. Ajinkya Rahane has walked in at No. 3 and has come in place of Virat Kohli, who has dropped down to No. 4.

Dhawan was uncomfortable during his innings. He had survived a close leg-before shout early in the over as it hit him on the full. However, he could not capitalise on it as he edged to second slip, where Finch accepted it with glee. It was quite a good over by Starc, who had finished as the man of the match in the first game.

Earlier, MS Dhoni had won the toss and elected to bat first. The only change in the Australian team was that Gurinder Sandhu has walked in place of Xavier Doherty. Sandhu is the first man of Indian origin to play for Australia. India did not field Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja. Akshar Patel is in there for Jadeja.
