Australia made a cautious start in their sixth One-Day International against India, reaching 12 for no loss in five overs at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Jamtha, Nagpur on Wednesday.

Phil Hughes set the ball rolling for Australia with a cracking shot through the covers for a boundary off Shami Ahmed in the second over, and followed it up with a gentle push down the wicket for the same result on the next ball.

On the other hand, Aaron Finch continued with the strategy of seeing off a few initial overs and then opening up, as he reached three not out off 12 balls.

Earlier, India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to field.

India made two changes in their side — bringing in Amit Mishra and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in place of Jaydev Unadkat and R Vinay Kumar.
