The 179-run opening stand between Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma was broken by Finch as the latter was dismissed for 79. India are 179 for one at the end of 30 overs with Dhawan batting on 90 and Virat Kohli is the new man.

Earlier, Rohit Sharma smashed Aaron Finch over mid-wicket for a maximum. It was a low full toss and Rohit was on his knees as he carted it. He then charged to Glenn Maxwell to loft him over long-on for another six. In the same over, he charged to Maxwell again and hit a six over long-off. That hit was the biggest of the lot.

Just as Rohit was getting the momentum in India’s favour, he holed out to the deep as he tried to smash another six off Finch. James Faulkner takes a good running catch near mid-wicket.
