It has been a great contest as the Indian spinners have been hit around the park by the Australian batsmen after a good start. After the assault, Australia are well placed at 154 for two in 28 overs.

George Bailey and Shane Watson have extended their partnership to over 50 and are looking dangerous.
Amit Mishra has been impressive since being brought into the attack as he is keeping the Australian batsmen quiet. He has been probing at them with ones that are turning and is mixing it up well with those that aren’t.

At the other end, Bailey had a go at Ravichanrdan Ashwin as he charged at him and first lofted him over wide long-off for four and then punched him over his head for a maximum. That six helped Australia get to their 100 and it also brought up the Australian skipper’s fifty-run partnership with Shane Watson.

Mishra then almost had Bailey as he lofted one down the ground and it fell short of Shami Ahmed at long-off. But, then Mishra lost his line and length and offered a simple full-toss to Watson. The Australian all-rounder had no problems in lofting it for six over mid-wicket.

Ravindra Jadeja then returned to the attack and Watson again guided him off the backfoot behind point for four. He then pushed one through lon-on for a single to get his hald century. Watson then charged at him and carted a six over long-on. He also attacked Mishra as he charged and hit him on the boundary at long-off. Since, it hit the ropes, a six was signalled.
