Bhuvneshwar Kumar got rid of Glenn Maxwell for a 23-ball 20 in the second One-Day International (ODI) between India and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Earlier, Aaron Finch scored an excellent 96 off 127 balls. Australia have to chase 268 to win and have been put on course by Finch. He has been well supported by the batsmen at the other end. This has been a very good innings and Finch has ensured Australia stay on course to victory.

Finch has turned out to be a very useful opener for the Australians. He was their leading run-scorer in ODIs in the year 2014 and has established himself at the top with some consistent performances. Finch is their leading batsman now, along with David Warner. They open the batting and manage to get Australia off to good starts often.

Earlier, MS Dhoni had won the toss and elected to bat first. The only change in the Australian team was that Gurinder Sandhu has walked in place of Xavier Doherty. Sandhu is the first man of Indian origin to play for Australia. India did not field Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja. Akshar Patel is in there for Jadeja. Rohit Sharma scored 138 as India put up 267 for eight. Mitchell Starc was the pick of the bowlers with six for 43.
