Anamul Haque managed to release some pressure when he hammered two boundaries in the fifth over of the innings by Mohit Sharma. Indians have looked a touch wayward after the dismissal of Tamim Iqbal. The scoring rate has improved after four overs. Bangladesh are in eight overs. Mohit Sharma left the field after some niggle in the left foot.

Earlier, Mohit started off with a maiden. The pacers didn’t allow the openers to score freely. The aggressive batsmen looked frustrated and Yadav struck first with Tamim’s wicket. The left-handed opener departed for a 11-ball duck.

Debutant Akshar Patel came in to bowl the eighth over and conceded five runs.

Bangladesh had won the toss and elected to bat. India brought in three spinners and two players made their debut — Parvez Rasool, Akshar Patel.
