Bangladesh batsmen Anamul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim dominated the Indian spinners in the middle overs but Parvez Rasool struck with his maiden One-Day International wicket dismissing Anamul Haque for 44. Bangladesh are 99 for three in 24 overs.

Anamul went for a wild wing towards midwicket and mistimed eat only to be caught by Ambati Rayudu.

Rasool was brought on post the drinks break in the 19th over. Overall, there was not much turn on offer for the spinners and they opted for variation in pace and length to keep the batsmen in check. The shot of the day so far came from Anamul who reverse swept Rasool over covers for a boundary.

However as the wicket started slowing down, Mushfiqur and Anamul were content picking singles before the 52-run partnership ended with Anamul’s rash shot.
