Mushfiqur Rahim‘s fluent innings came to an end as he was dismissed by Parvez Rasool for 59 in the first One-Day International (ODI) against India at Dhaka on Sunday. Rahim looked all set for a three-figure mark when a sudden rush of blood saw him stepping out to play a big shot, got a leading edge and was caught brilliantly by Ajinkya Rahane. Bangladesh are 145 for four in 32 overs.

Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan shared a crucial 47-run stand in eight overs. The specialty of Rahim’s innings was that he never looked to be under pressure against any of the bowlers and used the slog sweeps to great effect.

Bangladesh had lost Anamul Haque to a poor shot as well. It is now left to Shakib to take Bangladesh to a solid total on a slow wicket.
