The Men in Blue begin their Champions Trophy campaign with a comprehensive victory against Bangladesh by 6 wickets. Shubman Gill has been adjudged the Player of the Match for his unbeaten knock of 101 which guided India to the target of 229. Now the focus of the Men in Blue will shift to the marquee clash against Pakistan which is set to be played on Sunday.

Shubman Gill continues his fine form in one-day cricket and completes a brilliant century to take India to the cusp of victory. Gill also scored a fine century against England in the recently-concluded 3-match series.

A lot has happened and India just needs a few more runs  here and there to win. India 201/4 after 43 overs.

The Indian team is inching closer and closer towards their target. The team is currently at 144 runs for loss of 3 wickets. As 20 overs still remain, the Men in Blue just need 85 runs to win.

After struggling with cramps, Towhid Hridoy has finally completed his century. With pain creeping up, and struggling to run, he still reached this feat. Shortly after that, Shami also claimed his five-wicket haul, as he dismissed Taskin Ahmed, caught out by Shreyas Iyer. Bangladesh 228/9 after 49 overs, final over remains.

Towhid Hridoy is closing in on his century. However, he had a bad cramp in the 4th ball of  46th over. Physio were there for a while, and he bas back up again, but was not seen running properly. Bangladesh 221/8 after 47 overs.

As the Bangladesh innings comes to an end, Harshit Rana has come in and taken another wicket. Rishad Hossain got caught out by Hardik Pandya at the third man. Bangladesh 214/7 after 46 overs.

The last 5 overs/ 30 balls remain for Bangladesh as the team has somehow elapsed 45 overs successfully. It would be interesting to see how much the team can post out a total. Bangladesh 212/6 after 45 overs.

Mohammed Shami has finally brought in the much-awaited sixth wicket. He dismissed Jaker Ali, caught out by Virat Kohli. Bangladesh 189/6 after 43 over.

Even though the pitch looked like it, the Indian team does not seem to get any more favour from the ground. The benefit came all in the initial overs, now the ground seems to be coming in favour of batters.
