Cheteshwar Pujara and Murali Vijay are fighting it out in tough conditions in the second Test against England at Lord’s. In 14 overs, India are 27 for one with Pujara on three and Vijay on 10. Shikhar Dhawan was the only man to be dismissed. He fell for six runs.

After losing the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan, Cheteshwar Pujara joined Murali Vijay in the middle. In testing conditions, they showed good determination to fight it out in the middle. Pujara took as many as 25 balls to get off the mark when he worked one through third-man and took three runs. Vijay got off the mark with a nice boundary through the off-side. It is quite green and the batsmen have had a tough time on this surface. In fact, Matt Prior dropped a tough chance of Murali Vijay.

On a green surface, England won the toss and chose to bowl first. Both the teams have not made any changes to their respective sides and have persisted with the same teams that played out the draw at Nottingham.
