India vs England 2014: Jos Buttler called as cover for Matt Prior ahead of 1st Test

England’s One-Day International wicketkeeper Jos Buttler has been called in as cover for Matt Prior ahead of the first Test against India at Trent Bridge starting on July 9. Prior is experiencing mild tightness in his right thigh which prompted the selectors to rope in Buttler. The official Twitter handle of ECB tweeted about Buttler’s inclusion.

Buttler was in the reckoning to make the cut even for the two-Test series against Sri Lanka. During the ODI series against Lanka, Buttler had scored a stunning 121 in 74 balls. However, England selectors persisted with Prior.
