The fifth and final India vs England Test at the Kia Oval seems to be nicely poised, although England hold the edge after extending their lead to 154 on Day 3. Opener Alastair Cook (46*) is inching towards a half-century in what will be his final Test innings for England and captain Joe Root has also looked composed in his 29 not out. England finished the day at 114/2 after losing opener Keaton Jennings (10) and Moeen Ali (20).

Earlier in the day, a gusty knock from debutant Hanuma Vihari and allrounder Ravindra Jadeja ensured England took a first-innings lead of just 40 runs. While Vihari scored 56 on debut, Jadeja guided the tail to push India to 292 and remain unbeaten on 86, finishing as India’s top-scorer.
Moeen Ali (2/50), James Anderson (2/54) and Ben Stokes (2/56) finished with two wickets each while Stuart Broad, Sam Curran and Adil Rashid chipped in with a wicket each.
